Place Week Six: Delivery

Image
Week Six I'll admit it when it comes to the brief, I followed it as closely as I could all because I was scared about failing the course. Due to the amount of time that I get during the week, I'am able to get a lot of work done during this time. In fear of failing this assignment I have read each week multiple times to make sure I wasn't missing any major information. I have hopefully followed the brief as closely as possible and I have also made sure to put everything in my scrapbook. One thing I can improve upon is to explain more and how I got to a concussion. From these six long weeks I can see how important the design process is. I understand and will use the design process in the future for all my projects. I can apply what I have learnt from the design process to show research and experiment. Before the project I wasn't to big on the whole arts and craft section and just wanted to do work on Adobe Illustrator. However After doing the twenty experiments I foun...

The Design Process

Discover: During this stage you'll want to do plenty of research both from your past experience and other peoples though primary and secondary research. There should also be brainstorms based on your main idea you want to focus on. Observing the place and asking questions is also a good way to get research. Define: At this point you have accumulated so much research that you can't focus on what is important. So its important to get feedback to decide on what to pursue. Its also very critical that you look back on the brief to make sure your doing as instructed. Develop: Once you have the right feedback and you have a clear point of view on what to do, you'll need to do some experiments and find a style that helps you explain your project. You should try and do many experiments as you can using many different techniques. Deliver: At this point you be doing your final experiments and working towards your final outcome. Your final outcome should reflect what you...

Place Week Five: Develop

Week Five This is it. We're approaching the final week of this project. By now we're should be thinking and coming up with ideas about what our final project could be. During the lesson we have been given plenty of free time to finish our scrapbooks and to start brain storming our final project. Thankful I started coming up with prototypes for a poster about the Ghibli Museum during week four. We were also given a tour and started to use the Prototyping room. We were given an interdiction and were taught in little detail about the many devices around the Prototype room but we were given a proper look at two machines in particular, the laser cutter and the heat presser. The laser cutters can cut though and imprint any design and on any material while the heat presser can imprint a reversed image on a thick or thin piece of cloth. Both equipment can support my projects and future projects by printing or imprinting something that I made and consider to be my best work. Here is...
